We've heard a lot about this place and we finally got to visit on a Sunday night. It was a school night, so it wasn't too packed because you can sit outside or at Hayter's bar next door. We ordered El Patron w/ Street Corn, Potato Salad, and Creamy Red Slaw, 1/2 lb of Prime Brisket, and Half Chicken. Really great BBQ and sides! We had 8 people (4 adults and 4 kids) and still took a bunch of meat home. This is Tex-Mex style BBQ which did not disappoint. The meat was tender and tasty even without the sauce. The sides were interesting because they were different than other BBQ places, but tasted good. They even had tacos for sides. The staff were all really nice. Very helpful and accommodating. The only downside is that they're tucked away at the back of a street. It would be easy to miss without GPS.

Me and my bf are visiting Texas for the first time and this made our experience. Line was out the door which was a good sign. The food and customer service was amazing. We got the El Jefe. I enjoyed the pulled pork and tacos. My bf enjoyed the burnt ends and brisket! 10/10 would recommend!

Be prepared to wait in the hot sun even at open! The staff does try to do their best while folks are waiting to keep the crowd entertained. The bartender will take and bring drink orders, and staff will offer a sample while waiting. There is so shade while standing in line, and depending on when you show up it could be a long wait. Once you get to the order portion of the line the staff is quite efficient. We ordered a big sampling of everything. The star of our plate were definitely the burnt ends and birria tacos + consume! The tacos were even great reheated in the airfryer. The tres leches banana pudding needed more vanilla wafers and bananas in the mix, had to doctor it up at home to really hit. Next time we'd probably opt for some of the other sides like the potato salad, beans, or loaded mashed potatoes. We'd also take advantage of the order ahead option too to spare waiting. While in line saw much better options while they were putting together orders. It'd be helpful if their online menu had photos of sides that way folks are more prepared to order.

When we got there, the line was still inside the building, when we left the line was down the block. The meat was cooked to perfection, but the BBQ sauce couldve used a little bit of love. You can taste the Worcestershire sauce base a little more than i would've liked. Besides the sauce the food was great. The Mac n cheese and street corn were a great compliment to the brisket and turkey breast.
